Colored Decisions

What does an event designer do when working with a client who loves every color in the "rainbow" so to speak, and can't make up her mind which colors to choose for her wedding?

Well I know what I did, I laid out swatches of all the colors we discussed and asked the client which color or colors "spoke" to her the most. After what seemed to be hours of contemplating, the client finally narrowed down 6 color choices. Thankfully for me, the color choices complimented each other so we agreed to use all 6. Now before you cringe at the challenge, let me tell you how I did it.

I used 2 colors in the wedding as the primary colors and I sprinkled in the other 4 colors subtly in the decor. Hold on, I didn't stop there, because this client really had an unmatchable fondness to all of her color choices so I took it a step further and I used 2 of the other color choices in the reception decor as the primary colors and again sprinkled in the other 4 colors very sparingly.

Now most event designers would have stopped there but not me, I aim to please and if you'll remember, this client really loved all the colors the same so I used the remaining 2 colors as primary colors at the Bridal Tea and again the other 4 colors were subtly woven into the decor, so you see - problem solved.

Oh, I bet you're wondering what 6 colors were used, well the colors were lavender, lime, yellow, white, pink and silver and they all looked beautiful together because they were used sparingly to compliment and not overpower.
